Preis der Dwight und Ursula Mamlok-Stiftung
für Interpretinnen und Interpreten zeitgenössischer Musik in Berlin 2026
Der Dwight und Ursula Mamlok – Preis wird an Solist:innen und/oder an ein Ensemble vergeben, die sich insbesondere der Aufführung zeitgenössischer Musik widmen und daran interessiert sind, die Musik von Ursula Mamlok aufzuführen.
Der Geldpreis wird in folgender Staffelung verliehen:
Solist/Solistin – 3.000 €
Duo – 6.000 €
Trio – 9.000 €
Quartett und mehr – 12.000 €
Falls zwei Ensemblepreise verliehen werden, wird das Preisgeld von insgesamt 15.000 € aufgeteilt.
Der nächste Dwight und Ursula Mamlok-Preis wird 2026 in Berlin verliehen.
Eine Eigenbewerbung für den Preis ist nicht möglich.
Empfehlungen für Preis:trägerinnen können z. B. Lehrende von Musikhochschulen, Komponist:innen, ausübende Musiker:innen, Musikjournalist:innen oder Musikwissenschaftler:innen
bis 15. Dezember 2026 an brand[at]mamlokstiftung.com senden (Deadline für Empfehlungen).
Die Empfehlung muss eine E-Mail-Adresse zur Kontaktaufnahme enthalten, damit wir die Nominierten über die Details zur Online-Bewerbung und das dafür nötige Passwort informieren können.
Die vorgeschlagenen Musiker:innen bzw. Ensembles sollten einen Studienabschluss an einer Musikhochschule vorweisen und über Erfahrung in der Aufführungspraxis Neuer Musik verfügen. Dazu gehört auch ein besonderes Engagement für die zeitgenössische Musik.
Altersbeschränkung
Die Interpret:innen sollten am 15. Februar im Jahr der Preisverleihung maximal 35 Jahre alt sein. Das Durchschnittsalter für Ensembles soll nicht über dieser Altersgrenze liegen.

The Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Prize
for Interpreters of Contemporary Music Berlin 2026
The Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Prize is awarded to a soloist and/or an ensemble making a significant contribution to the performance of contemporary music while being interested in the performance of Ursula Mamlok’s music.
The award ceremony takes place annually, alternating in Berlin and New York City. The prize will be awarded at a concert sponsored by the Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Foundation. Prizewinners will perform contemporary works of their choice and a work by Ursula Mamlok.
Monetary Prizes (in Euros):
Soloist – 3.000 €
Duo – 6.000 €
Trio – 9.000 €
Quartet and larger – 12.000 €
In case two prizes are awarded, the total amount of 15.000 € will be shared among the awardees.
The next Dwight and Ursula Mamlok Prize will be awarded in 2026 in Berlin.
Direct applications are not accepted.
Recommendations may be made by music professionals, like faculty of universities, colleges, and conservatories; composers, musicians, music journalists or musicologists and sent to brand[at]mamlokstiftung.com until December 15, 2026 (deadline for recommendations).
After the nomination has been accepted, you will receive a password to gain access to the online-application. Therefore, the recommendation should include an email address for contacting the nominees.
The nominees should have earned a degree from a university, college, or music conservatory, should have a special commitment to modern music and experiences in the performance of contemporary music.
Age limit
Nominees for the 2026 prizes should not be older than 35 years by February 15th, 2026. The average age of ensemble members may not exceed 35.
The deadline for applications is January 30, 2026
